The Journal Of Nigerian Inquiry In The Humanities (Niith) seeks to; A. Provide a standard journal for publications in the Humanities; B. Publish research findings on current topical issues that are of interest to both public and private sectors locally and internationally C. Create a forum for cross-ferlisation of ideas in the Arts, Education, the Social Sciences, Law, Management and other Humanities – based disciplines. D. Publish high quality theoretical and empirical original research papers, case studies, review papers, literature reviews, book reviews, conceptual framework, analytical and simulation models, technical note from researchers, academicians, professional, practitioners and students in the humanities based discipline from all over the world.
  1. Only original articles that have not been published elsewhere one invited.
  2. The officially recognised medium of communication in the Journal is English Language.
  3. Manuscripts should not exceed 15-20 pages
  4. An abstract of 100-200 words should be included
  5. Keywords should not be more than 5 (five)
  6. Manuscript should be typed in double-line spacing using Microsoft Word on A4 size paper using 12 font size (Times News Roman Type)
  7. All quotations should be in single-line spacing and should be of the same font size and style as in the main paper.
  8. Author’s name, designation, affiliation and contacts (e.g. cell-phone lines, e-mail addresses a separate and first sheet of the article.
  9. Tables should be clearly typed using the MS Word Table Template.  All illuystrations (photographs, drawings, graphs e.t.c), excluding tables be labelled figure, images must be scanned and submitted in JPEG format – Figures in Tables should be in 2 decimal places and levels of significance clearly stated.  Where applicable, the SI units should be used.
  10. Except for reviewed articles, text should normally be divided into sections e.g. Title page, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussions, Recommendations/suggestions, conclusion, Acknowledgements, References.
  11. References cited should be compiled alphabetically following the APA style at the end of manuscript. Please visit www.apastyle.org to learn more about APA style
  12. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Avoid citation in the abstract. Unpublished results and personal communications should not be in the reference list, but may be mentioned in the text. Citation of a reference as 'in press' implies that the item has been accepted for publication.
  13. References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters "a", "b", "c", etc., placed after the year of publication.
