1. How do I submit an article to Academix?
We do not accept articles from individuals at the moment. We receive our articles through institutions such as universities, professional organisations and journals. If you have a paper you would like to feature on Academix, you must route it to us through an institution with which we have a partnership or your may recommend to us that we partner with an institution that publishes your work.

2. Why are certain articles free to access while others are not?
Copyright holders determine if they want to make their content free for everyone to access or if they want to charge fees for them. Academix simply reflects the wishes of these copyright owners on its website.

3. What measures do you undertake to ensure that your articles are of high quality?
All research materials on Academix are provided by credible institutions. These institutions have mechanism such as peer-review processes and check for quality and originality. We rely on these mechanisms to ensure that the quality of what is indexed on Academix is high.

4. I would like permission to use or reprint part of a paper on Academix. What do I do?
For a journal, please contact the editor. Contact details for the journal editor can be found on the journal's profile page. If the paper belongs to an organization or institution, you will find the contact details on the profile page for that institution.

5. What is the geographic scope of materials on Academix?
Academix started out with an initial focus on Nigerian research. However, we have extended our scope and partnerships to include multidisciplinary research from across the world while still growing a collection of strictly Africa focused content.

6. I belong to an organization that is interested in a corporate subscription to Academix. What do I do?
Please send us an e-mail and we shall provide you with information about how you may purchase a corporate subscription for your organization.

7. What does Open Access mean?
Open Access means unrestricted online access. Articles that are featured as Open Access on Academix can be read online for free.

8. What does Fee Access mean?
Fee Access means that access is only granted to those who have a paid subscription. After paying a fee, they are allowed to read online and download content from the website.

9. How can I take out a subscription on Academix
As an individual, you can take out a subscription to Academix using a credit/debit card or Paypal account or via an eLibrary Card. For instructions on how to subscribe, visit academix.ng/subscribe

10. What shall I do if I have difficulty downloading papers?

11. How secure is online payment on your website?
Online payment on our website is handled by 2Checkout and GTPay. Both offer secure online payment using latest encryption technology.

12. Do you store my credit card details?
No we do not store credit card details anywhere on our systems. As a matter of fact, the web pages that process credit card details are provided by 2Checkout and GTPay. We only receive notifications about whether a transaction has been successful or unsuccessful.

13. What is an Academix eLibrary Card?
Our eLibrary cards are physical cards with concealed unique PIN numbers that provide subscribers with access to subscriptions on Academix. Users are able to activate subscriptions by inputting their PIN numbers in the subscription section of Academix.

14. How can I get an Academix eLibrary Card?
Our eLibrary cards are currently distributed only in Nigeria. They can be obtained at the libraries of some universities. Where eLibrary cards are not easily accessible, we can provide them by e-mail to interested users.

15. I am unable to login even though I am registered. What do I do?
If you are registered with Academix and you are unable to login, it is possible that you may have forgotten your password. To reset your password, visit academix.ng/access and click on the ‘Reset Password' link and follow the instructions for resetting your password.

16. How long after subscribing or paying for an item should I expect to be able to download a paper?
Our promise is “to deliver research papers to you instantly. Once your payment transaction has been successful, you will immediately be able to download materials. We estimate that you should have access to your documents within 2 minutes of paying for them.
