User Satisfaction In Academic Library: An Evaluation of African University of Education Library At Taisolarin University of Education Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode

ABSTRACT:

The paper studied the level of satisfaction by the students of the Tai SolarinUniversity of Education with the library and information services provided by theuniversity library. Questionnaire was employed as data collection instrument.Data obtained were analyzed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS).Results showed that large percentage of library users were not satisfied withlibrary and information services offered by the university library as library staffwere not cordial, library resources were not current etc. Recommendations weremade for improved library staff-student relationship, improved quality of libraryand information services, massive acquisition of library resources, and the use ofsuggestion box to gather information from users to facilitate improved library andinformation services.
