KEYWORDS: Quest for Social Justice, The Revolutionary Poems, Idris Amali
ABSTRACT:
This paper arguess that Idris Amali is a poet who quests for social justice. A reading of Amali’s Generals Without War reveals a number of social, political and economic problems in society. As a result, the poet is angry with the country’s leaders, especially the military rulers. Reading through this collection, one notices that the poet has run out of patience with the pervading bad leadership. Consequent upon this, Amali suggests a political revolution as a solution to the issue of social injustice.
